Facebook Messenger's secret inbox you didn't even know existed

Image
Facebook  has many secrets, and we love nothing more than to tell you about them! For example, did you know that there's a secret hidden inbox in your Messenger? This is the inbox where all the messages from people who aren't your friends on Facebook go to, and basically, sit undiscovered. The question is.... are you ready to read them? Now, we warn you, this could either go one way or the other. On one hand, you may discover that some do-gooder back in Australia has found that wallet that you lost during your travels (might be a bit late though), on the other, it may bring back some bad memories you were quite happy living without until this moment.  Either way - you're in for an interesting read! Here's how to find your secret inbox on mobile! 1) Open the Messenger app 2) Click on "Settings" 3) Click on "People" 4) Click "Message Requests" 5) Now click on "See filtered requests". Warning! This security flaw in Windows could put your PC at risk!

A new serious security flaw has been detected on Windows that could put you at risk. It’s so sneaky, that it’s able to run any program without Administrator permission – this includes malicious apps that can have fatal consequences. This bug, discovered by researcher Casey Smith, makes it possible to run any app remotely – even if the infected user is using  AppLocker  (a program that prevents programs starting up without permission from the Administrator). This security flaw takes advantage of the Regsvr32 tool. But relax, we also didn’t know what  Regsvr32  was before writing this article, so here’s a bit of a summary for you to chew on. It’s basically a tool within the  Windows  command line that handles log entries. By using it maliciously, and taking advantage of the flaw, a hacker is able to run any program on the PC, including malware or malicious software. Since the system doesn’t require the Administrator password nor does it alter the system registry, it’s almost im

Getting tired of Facebook Live videos? We’ve got the solution!

The live-broadcasting feature on  Facebook  is now available to everyone, and while sometimes it can be useful,  notifications  can get a bit overwhelming (and annoying).  Luckily there’s an easy way to  disable it! Here's how you do it: Go to Facebook  Settings Click on the  Notifications  tab on the left hand side Go to “ On  Facebook ” Deactivate the  Live Video  option (see below) As you can see above, this section of your Facebook configuration allows you to manage all notifications that you receive on your account. While here, it may be useful for you to explore it a little if you feel you’re receiving too many notifications you don’t think are necessary. You can always activate them if you feel you’re missing out!

How to recover an unsaved Word document on Windows 10

Image
W ’ve all been there. That moment when your  PC  just decides to shutdown spontaneously and you forgot to save that super-important document. Then you remember about  Microsoft’s special feature  that automatically recovers unsaved documents, but then you realized that it actually hasn’t saved at all. Fear not!  There is still a way to recover the ultimate version of the document, however you can’t do this in  Word  itself. How to recover your document: 1)      Use the  Windows  key (on your keyboard) to open the  Windows Start Menu 2)      Click on  File Explorer 3)      Select  This PC  on the left-hand side 4)      Type  .asd  in the search bar and click  Enter Your most recent document will appear in the results! All you have to  do is simply click on it! The document will open in Word, giving you a second chance to save it! Source:  CNET
